Now for my job, I carry more gear so I’m considering picking up one of their bigger bags. I have no reason or desire to switch to a different bag. I’ve been using it every day for a month now and I’m loving it. This bag fits exactly what I need for my daily setup. I know it’s holding a camera that’s gonna last me a lifetime so I need the bag to last a long time as well… Check. So the build quality is definitely there. The leather is soft but feels strong and the brass hardware is great too. Looks nice and has that quality feel to it that I can trust. That’s why I need it to last.Īlso, the accents on this bag are great. I’m not a collector or a showroom, when I buy something, I’m going to use it and work with it. It’s thick so I know it can handle it when it bumps into things and scrapes against rough surfaces. The waxed canvas feels stiff and holds it’s shape, but it still forms well when I’m wearing it. I have to be completely honest, I like brands that are made in USA like Domke because I feel like I can trust it, but the Ona bag wins in this department, no questions asked. They also make a leather version, but I really liked the waxed canvas. However, I heard about the quality of the build and the waxed canvas being some really good stuff. I primarily used a Domke F5XB, which is a similar style to this bag. It’s big enough to hold what I need, but it’s still small enough to stay out of my way and it doesn’t attract attention like a normal camera bag would. It holds just the amount of gear I need to know that I’m ready, regardless of where I am, but it also doesn’t leave enough room for me to bring stuff that I’ll never need. Whether I’m going on a hike, walking through town, or going to a friend’s cookout, I wanted a setup that could do it and a bag that could take it.
